First make clarified butter. Use 2 pots for this method, one that fits inside of the other one. Put butter in the smaller pot and water in the larger pot. Put the small inside the "water bath" you have made (make sure there isn't too much water that it boils over into the butter) Place the entire thing on low heat on your stove and let it the water simmer with the small pot inside for about 30 minutes. The water bath allows you to melt and heat the butter without it burning. Skim foam (milk solids) from the top leaving you with clear, golden clarified butter on top and the rest of the white milk solids staying at the bottom. Ladle out the clarified butter into another small pot (if you’re not a complete burnout, put it in a container and clean the pot you were using). Add your marijuana to the butter and let it cook in the water bath for 2 hour. (Cook until you see the nice green colour from the butter, and cook as long as you want to make sure you get all the THC out of the weed. Remember to watch your water level in the bottom pot, stoner mistakes can happen if you’re not careful). When complete strain the butter through a strainer lined with cheese cloth (a fine strainer works great but cheese cloth works the best). Cool and enjoy, can be used just like regular butter. You can also keep the milk solids in the butter but they can tend to leave a watery substance in you butter sometimes. If you do keep the milk solids, continuously mix the seperated butter while cooling until the mixture becomes thick enough to hold itself together. **Any problems comment and I'll do my best to get back to you, puff pastry comes out beautifully using this butter. |
