Directions:
Many recipes on this site use cannabutter or "bud butter". Essentially this is a mixture of butter and weed cooked on a low heat and then strained. i very slightly also,i use 4c water 3lbs butter,6ozs finely ground leaf matter,simmer 2 hrs, strain well through cheeze cloth,then reboilmatter it 2c of water for about 10 mins, strain again, let seperate in fridg. and take out about 7+ cups butter freeze some until needed.

I'm fixin to make a batch of I.S.S butter for fudge and cookies can't wait I will let you all Know how they are, I was givin a cherry krispie bar at a dispencery this morning and it was nice looking for a recipe for good treats I will let it go when I perfect the recipe

curious to know if anyone has tried the process where you boil both water and butter in the same pot, filter bud out then cool resulting mixture until water/oils have separated and you can pry out a lovely green frisbee? Anyone tried. Looking for a butter recipe that maximizes extraction of THC without degredation...thanks so much!

I make my butter in a small crock pot:
1 lb butter
5g kief

Simmer on low for 30 minutes undisturbed. Allow to cool for 2 hours, then whip with mixer to ensure even mixture.
Simmer again for 30 minutes, then cool. Once cooled off and butter begins to re-solidify, whip again.
Use in place of butter or oil in recipes.

the first time i made it, i cooked for 2 hours on slow heat, 4 sticks of butter, slow cook on gas stove - low heat, turned out ok.. last time i cooked 4 sticks butter (unsalted-of course)cooked for 22 hours low heat /crock pot...damn..1 banana nut muffin was POTENT!
1st time 28 grams bud, 2nd time 33 grams bud! remember it takes 1/2 hour to 2 hours to feel any effect, dont over do or you will be LAID OUT!

i'm going to make my first space cake do i need to let the bud dutter cool down first before i put in the cake batter? do i use butter or oil for cake recipe for space cake?

I made 2 tiny variations: Boiled for 2 hours instead of 1/2 an hour, and waited 10 mins for it to cool slightly so I didn't have to worry about burning myself during the straining stage - I might have wasted an extra 1% or 2% that way - but if you're only doing $100 worth of weed, that means you waste $1 in return for no risk of excruciating hot-fat burns :)
