plug in your slow cooker and heat the water up for about an hour.Then add the butter,let it melt then add your bud.the way ive always done it was 1/4 ounce bud to 1/4 pound butter depending on the potency of your bud. let the mixture cook on low (you dont want a full rolling boil as this will breakdown thc)for about 10-12 hrs stirring frequently let the slow cooker cool but dont let it cool to the point the butter starts to become solid.take an old t-shirt and strain all the bud from the water and butter into a big bowl.Take the t-shirt with the bud in it and squeeze out all remaining butter into the bowl. stick bowl in freezer over night.The butter will rise to the top and the water will sink.the next day peal butter off the ice put into a mason jar. Warning: depending on the potency of your bud and ratio of bud to butter you should excercise caution when trying for the first time |
